F1 | Alfa Romeo, Giovinazzi: “Istanbul Park seems like a fantastic track”

After nine years of absence from the calendar, Formula 1 will return to Turkey this weekend, competing in the fourteenth round of the 2020 world championship on the Istanbul Park track, well known for some of its fast corners which have always attracted many compliments from the pilots.

However, there are many of the standard bearers of the various teams on the grid who have never had direct experience with this track, not even among the minor series and among these there is also Antonio Giovinazzi, who will have to represent Sauber this weekend of his five hundredth Grand Prix in Formula 1, although at the moment the official name is that of the main partner Alfa Romeo: "It will be a special weekend for the team, 500 races in Formula 1 represent an incredible achievement and the fact that there are only three teams to have reached this number before shows how impressive it is. This is a team that almost feels like a family and I'm sure everyone is proud of our history, so we hope to have a good race to celebrate in the best possible way. I've never raced in Turkey, it will be a completely new experience for me, but I've seen some material from the latest events there and it looks like a fantastic track,” said the Italian.
