F1 | Alfa Romeo, Giovinazzi hits the wall during free practice: "Lost day"

Another day to waste for Antonio Giovinazzi. The Apulian practically lost two free practice sessions due to the morning's accident which caused damage to his suspension and gearbox, and this caused him to lose a lot of time in the pits in the afternoon too. After a disappointing start to the season, the driver from Martina Franca is looking for points, but is struggling tremendously to put together a problem-free weekend, either due to bad luck or also due to mistakes that should be avoided.

“It was a difficult day for us, we didn't complete many laps – said a regretful Giovinazzi. During Free Practice 1 I went too far onto the inside curb at the turn 8 chicane and this pushed me up to the wall: I lost the car on the exit and I touched it slightly, but enough to do some damage. I practically missed Free Practice 2, since we only went out on track to check the car. We will have a lot of work to do tonight."
