F1 | Alfa Romeo, Bottas scores a point in Monza

Valtteri Bottas wins a point and is tenth place in the Monza Grand Prix. The Finn had been missing from the points since the race Montreal. In front of the home crowd, theAlfa Romeo decided to differentiate the strategies between the two drivers, putting Bottas on the hard at the start. The Finn managed to stay out of trouble and maintain his position in the points.

“The objective was the points zone, and we achieved it: it's nice to be back in the top ten, it hasn't happened for a while, despite the hard work. It was a clean race: our pace improved slightly compared to qualifying and we studied an excellent strategy, which helped us stay in clean air and keep us out of trouble. I'd say it was a good day, a nice way to end the European section of the calendar."

Different outcome, however, for Zhou Guangyu. The Chinese finished the race in fourteenth position.

“It's nice to see Valtteri in the points, it helps us close the gap Haas. Considering the results of Friday and Saturday, I would say that we have made a big step forward, which is encouraging for the next races, especially considering the updates planned for Singapore. I think mine was a clean race; Valtteri and I were on different strategies, he started with the hard, I with the medium, and we concentrated on Alpine, hoping to be able to do undercut.
