F1 | Alfa Romeo, Bottas and Zhou damaged by the red flag

Another unlucky weekend for the Alfa Romeo. Both on the fifth row at the start, Bottas e Zhou they were unable to keep up with their opponents, but above all they were damaged by the red flag, which arrived exactly on the lap following the stop. Completely upset race for both: Bottas finds himself involved in a contact with Stroll at the stadium and crosses the finish line in fifteenth position.

“Today was a tough day for the whole team, luck didn't help: the Safety Car arrived exactly on the lap following our pit stop and we lost ground against all our rivals, who managed to change the tires during the red flag. The restart went well, but then I got stuck in a train, until the contact with Lance Stroll at the end. Obviously, it is disappointing to finish the race without points, especially considering the start of the weekend. It wasn't our day, but we still have three weekends to recover in the championship, starting from Brazil: it's a track where we're doing very well, let's hope that things turn in our favor."

Zhou Guanyu was also unlucky, the only one on hard used at the restart. He finishes the race in fourteenth position.

“It was a frustrating day, our race was destroyed by the red flag. I was one of the first to stop and put on the hard, but when we restarted I was the only one with used hard tyres: we all had new tires and there I realized that I had no hope. The restart was good, but holding the position was impossible: there was too much difference and I was left watching for the rest of the race. It's really disappointing."
