F1 | Alfa Romeo, Bottas and Zhou both in Q3

THEAlfa Romeo places both cars in Q3. A result already announced at least for Valtteri Bottas, who finished with the fourth best time in FP2. The track ofHermanos Rodriguez seems to fit well C43, and in fact Bottas managed to get into the top ten, eventually finishing in ninth position.

“It's great to have both cars in Q3, especially considering last week's results. I'm really proud of the team's work: everything went according to plan. This track suits our car, we had fun: I think we got the most out of the car, despite a lockup in the last sector of my final lap. Looking to tomorrow, with the pace shown so far and what we have learned in free practice, I believe we have a real chance of bringing home some points, I can't wait to play for it."

A slightly more complicated qualification, however, for Zhou: the Chinese had actually been excluded in Q2, until the race direction canceled the time Albon, which therefore had to stay outside the top ten.

“I can be happy with today's results after a complicated Friday. I think the car is stronger on race pace than on flying lap, so being in Q3, on the same level as Valtteri, who found confidence with the car from the start, I think is a good result. The margins were really ridiculous throughout the weekend and we knew that the track limits could be a problem: we waited, in fact, in the car at the end of Q2 and in fact then we moved on to Q3 – explained Zhou – in the end, I tried to give everything: we continued to improve session after session, and our confidence increased little by little. Now, with two cars in the top 10, we have the chance to score some points: we need to have a good race, but the starting point is already excellent."
