Caterham, Stevens: “Nice to have finished my first F1 race”

The Englishman came seventeenth. Retirement for Kobayashi

Caterham, Stevens: “Nice to have finished my first F1 race”

The Abu Dhabi weekend of the re-created team ended with a DNF and a seventeenth place Caterham which we hope to be able to see on the grid again in 2015 despite the great difficulties it is going through.

“It's a real shame that I had to finish early because up until that point I was having a solid race and with a good pace but unfortunately on the fortieth lap I started to feel strange vibrations and a couple of laps later the car became undriveable – has explained Kamui Kobayashi – I would like to thank the fans again who made our return possible and gave us a further boost and to the team who did a magnificent job throughout the season."

“I achieved my goal of reaching the finish line which is positive both for me and for the team – he commented Will Stevens, protagonist of a test of strength on the straight with a Fernando Alonso who was decidedly annoyed by the gesture - During the first stint with the supersofts I struggled to bring the tires up to temperature and suffered a lot of graining on the front, later things improved and I managed to find a good rhythm especially in the last part of the race. It was nice to complete my first F1 race. Grateful to the fans who got us back on track."
