Brawn GP: A quiet free practice session at Suzuka

Jenson Button, L1 – 1:43.318, POS 18; L2 – no time, POS 19
"I'm sorry for the fans, but unfortunately we couldn't get any useful information in these conditions, with so much water on the track. We spent the morning working on balancing the car with the wet and intermediate tires to make sure we were prepared in case should the weather continue like this for the rest of the weekend. It's nice to be back here in Suzuka. It's a nice driven circuit but we hope to have a dry race."

Rubens Barrichello, L1 – 1:41.821, POS 9; L2 – no time, POS 20
"As we expected, the rain arrived at Suzuka and so today we had an unusually quiet session. The morning session wasn't bad, but the rain this afternoon was quite heavy and so it wasn't the case of going out. Today's limited session will make tomorrow's very important and stimulating to try to get a good set-up as soon as possible. Now we will have to analyze the data and concentrate tomorrow morning in order to be well prepared for the qualifications."
