GP Bahrain: the starting grid

Here is the starting grid for the Bahrain GP after the penalties of Daniel Ricciardo and Adrian Sutil. The Australian, third in qualifying, suffered a 10-place grid penalty imposed on him in Malaysia for an unsafe release during the Sepang race. Adrian Sutil, who qualified 18th, will start at the back of the grid after suffering a 5-place grid penalty for pushing Romain Grosjean off the track during Q1. Consequently, all the drivers who qualified after Ricciardo advance by one position, up to 13th position which will be the one occupied by the Australian tomorrow. Valtteri Bottas will therefore start third behind the two Mercedes and ahead of Sergio Perez and Kimi Raikkonen, fifth and already more comfortable with the Ferrari F14 T.

Jenson Button will start from sixth position with the McLaren ahead of the Williams of Felipe Massa and the other McLaren of Kevin Magnussen. Fernando Alonso in the other Ferrari finished ninth ahead of Sebastian Vettel who therefore entered the top 10.
