In unsuspecting times, aka last Thursday, he had tweeted it on his Twitter page. “There will be good news soon.” And he kept his word. Alexander Rossi has officially returned to racing in America after a stint in GP2 and an appearance of just five races in F1 with Manor in the second part of 2015.

The 24-year-old from Nevada City will drive the #98 carAndretti Herta Autosport, born from the collaboration between the structures of the two pilot-patrons.

“I can't wait to make my IndyCar debut. I am truly proud to have joined such a high-level team. I hope to be able to be competitive from the first round in St. Petersburg” – the comment of the American who will be the protagonist of a test session on March 1st at Sebring.

“We are very happy with his arrival. He has an excellent CV, so I don't think he will struggle to get used to this type of racing” – he stated Michael Andretti.
