Renault remains in F1, but sells the majority of the team

It seems that Renault has decided to remain in F1 in 2010, but at the same time the French manufacturer will sell the majority share of its team.
According to the French publication Auto Hebdo, although the management of the French company made this decision during a meeting on Thursday, the official announcement is not expected “for the next few days.”

In Great Britain important sources such as the BBC, Guardian, Times and Daily Telegraph reported the same news.

Gerard Lopez is the favorite to acquire 75 percent of the team's shares, but David Richards with his Prodrive and perhaps two other bidders who have been linked to the 2005 and 2006 world championship-winning team are also in the running.

The BBC said staff were likely to remain the same and the decision would be communicated to it this Friday.
