Moss lands another blow at Schumacher

Sir Stirling Moss has once again expressed his harsh judgment on Michael Schumacher, saying that the FIA's decision to crack down on bad handling in 2011 will diminish the seven-time world champion's chances of victory."

Motor sport's governing body, the FIA, announced tougher rules earlier this month in a bid to eradicate dangerous and unsportsmanlike maneuvers from F1. Many believe that the new rules are a consequence of the tough battle between Schumacher and his old rival Barrichello at the Hungarian GP, when the German practically pushed the Brazilian into the pit wall.

Moss, who a few weeks ago called Schumacher "flawed" and "very agitated" throughout the 2010 season, believes this rule change will make Schumacher's life harder.

“I have seen the new rules on dangerous driving, and this will probably reduce Michael's chances. His behavior in Hungary was disgraceful: Formula 1 is a very safe sport now, but if anyone had left the pits at that time it would have been a disaster,” Moss told ESPNF1.

Regarding the FIA's decision to allow team orders, Moss commented that banning them was a stupid rule.

“It was stupid to have to put a rule on this too. Team orders have always been there and always will be, and I also believe they should be there."
