F1 | Red Bull, 164 laps for Perez and Verstappen in the Abu Dhabi tests

In yesterday's Abu Dhabi tests, all the teams divided their work programmes: on one side of the garage the young drivers had the whole day to test this year's cars, while on the other the regular drivers had to do with the 2023 tyres. In the case of Red Bull, Liam Lawson. he had one of the two RB18s at his disposal from morning to evening, while Perez and Verstappen divided the tasks, with the Mexican on the track during the hottest hours, only to then hand over the car to the Dutch champion for the evening hours.

“Overall it was a good morning – Checo said. We gave the team and engineers a lot of useful information, so I'm happy with the work they did. The new compounds seem very similar to those used so far, but the front is perhaps more precise: we are running in hot conditions, we are at the beginning, so there is a lot to analyse. We'll see how they behave in cooler temperatures."

“The program has been completed and we have a good basis of understanding the tires for 2023 – Max admitted. However, on each track the tires behave differently, so it is difficult to make predictions at the moment. That said, it's always better to have something than nothing. Everything went smoothly, as normal, so I can say it was a good day."
