F1 | Wolff on the 2022 line-up: “We have several options”

Interviewed by "Car and Driver" Toto wolff spoke about the line-up that Mercedes will field starting from the 2021 season, highlighting how the World Champion team has several extremely interesting options on the table for its future.

In addition to the confirmation of Lewis Hamilton e Valtteri Bottas, expiring at the end of this year, the Anglo-German team can count on the profiles of Esteban Ocon e George Russell, still under the “protective” wing of Mercedes Junior Academy. Interesting talents who could continue the period of success started by the Stuttgart company at the end of the 2014 season.

"Esteban Ocon is in his second year of his two-year contract with Renault e Alpine, while George Russell will stay in Williams even this year", said Toto wolff. “So, I can say that we have several options for 2022. Until then, however, all our efforts will be reserved for Valtteri Bottas e Lewis Hamilton. It's too early to talk about a possible 2022 line up. In the summer we will evaluate whether there will be a change."
