Vettel: “We hope to be in the top five in China”

Sebastian Vettel does not expect to fight for the podium at the Chinese F1 GP. The German from Red Bull does not expect great improvements for the RB10 and hopes to be among the top five at the finish line.

“It's been tough so far, and in terms of results we haven't achieved what people expect,” Vettel said. “I'm not interested in finishing fourth, fifth or eighth. What seems like the biggest challenge at the moment is finding the right feeling with the car, given that we are not where I would like in these terms. We have made a lot of changes and there are a lot of new things to adapt, so obviously we are still discovering the car and that is still the main challenge."

Vettel hopes for another top 5 finish for China: “It's difficult to predict where we will finish. Mercede will be favorites but we want to get as close as possible. Realistically? Maybe we can get into the top 5, probably a good result for us at the moment. There is a big gap to Mercedes at the moment. Bahrain proved disastrous for everyone apart from Mercedes-powered drivers. I think it might be a little different here but historically it is one of the circuits that has favored Mercedes in recent years. I expect them to be strong due to the nature of the track and because they are in good shape at the moment."
