Toyota with good hopes after free practice at Silverstone

Promising start for Toyota at Silverstone. In free practice for the British GP Jarno Trulli set the seventh and eighth times on Friday while his teammate, Timo Glock, recorded the 16th and 13th times.

"I had two problem-free sessions working on the usual program of evaluating the different tire compounds and checking the various set-ups. The car was particularly good but as usual it was very windy here at Silverstone. This made it difficult to set the car up. car and it's certainly not ideal to end up with different conditions every lap when you're evaluating set-ups. But we haven't had any other problems and we just need to improve the performance a little bit for tomorrow to improve and get closer to the top. I'm still optimistic ".

"It was a reasonable start for us overall. We did a few laps and evaluated different set-ups. We didn't have any serious problems but for sure there are areas we need to work on before qualifying to get the most out of our package. The balance is not ideal at the moment but we will have the chance to improve tomorrow morning. If we look at what happened in Turkey, where we made a big step forward on Saturday morning, then we can have good hopes for this race."
