Force India “B” has passed crash tests

Force India would be about to bring the long-awaited B version of its single-seater into competition, starting with the post-Austria GP tests. After the delays experienced in the winter, Nico Hulknberg and Sergio Perez did not hide their frustration with the performance of the VJM08.

“I'm definitely looking forward to it,” said Hulkenberg in Canada. Meanwhile, the B version of the single-seater would have already passed the crash tests despite alarming news recently circulating regarding the failed impact tests of the new short nose.

But team boss Bob Fernley said in Montreal: “We passed all the required crash tests this week. We failed the first but passed the second and now we are on schedule to get the car on track for testing after the Austrian GP at the Red Bull Ring."

Force India will therefore try to have two B version chassis ready for the British GP.
