The F1 constructors' championship is worth millions to Red Bull

The victory of the Formula 1 constructors' championship for Red Bull is worth tens of millions of euros according to rumors. The German media Sport1 claims that the new world champions will earn 60 million although the details of the distribution of revenues enshrined in the Concorde Agreement are protected by confidentiality clauses.

But “the difference between first and second place is around 10 million euros” according to Red Bull consultant Helmut Marko.

The Spanish newspaper El Pais claims that Red Bull's revenues will amount to 72 million euros. The second-placed team would earn 50 million, the third 36 with proportionally lower revenues for the following positions.

“For small teams, a better position in the constructors' championship is very important because it means a lot of money,” said Spanish engineer Toni Cuquerella.

As for Red Bull, much of the revenue will be used for the development of next year's car. Adrian Newey, absent in Korea, is already working 100% on the new project: “He is in the United Kingdom, already focused on the RB8” declared Christian Horner.
