Team Lotus: Satisfaction with Kovalainen's Q2 entry at Silverstone

Team Lotus in Q2 in qualifying for the British Grand Prix with Heikki Kovalainen achieving 17th position on the grid. Twenty-first is teammate Jarno Trulli who still has problems with feeling with his car.

Heikki Kovalainen – Pos 17:
“I'm very happy with my qualifying, we knew it would be important to go out early on dry tires because the rain was expected. At the start of Q1 I managed to do a pretty decent lap and got everything out of the car almost straight away. Then when I went out for the second moto the rain started to fall, but we were already where we needed to be so the whole team and I can be happy with where we ended up. I hope I can have a good race from 17th position. I know that the whole team is working very well together and even if we are still far away with performance, we are getting everything from the car and we can attack the teams ahead.”

Jarno Trulli – Pos 21:
“The rain played its part in Q1 and the session was unfortunately cut short after I had only had one run. It wasn't good enough, but we have a car in Q2 which therefore shows we have the pace to take the fight to the cars ahead, so hopefully we have a good race tomorrow and avoid any bad luck with the conditions!”
