Sirotkin wants to become a Renault driver in 2018
The Russian from GP2 is ready for the big leap after being a third driver in 2017
The new continues to advance in Formula 1. Sergey sirotkin, third place in the GP2 world championship, is pushing to become a driver Renault in two years, in 2018.
The young Russian's journey will still be long and could lead him to become test driver and third driver of the French team in 2017.
“I can say little about my future – he told Sportbox Russia – With Boris Rotenberg and SMP we are negotiating with Renault for the role of third driver in 2017. This could help me become an official driver in 2018”.
The 21-year-old has long been under the wing of the French team who could soon involve him in a very large and experimental project in LMP1.
