Schumacher hopes for a good start

Michael Schumacher hopes to make the most of his start in tomorrow's Monaco Grand Prix. The German achieved the seventh fastest time today in qualifying in Monte Carlo.

"Qualifying confirmed that the gap between the teams is smaller here but not so small as to allow us to exploit the situation" declared Schumacher. "We were all worried ahead of qualifying about the number of cars on the track but I have to say that from my point of view, everyone did a great job. I had a clear track for most of the time, except once, involuntarily, with Nico. I think we made as much use of the car as we could today and the good news is that I'm on the inside which is a good starting position, and our shots have been good recently. So we can at least hope to gain a position or two in the race" concluded Schumacher.
