Schumacher is not angry with the mechanics after the pit stop error
A poorly secured tire caused the German to retire
Michael Schumacher he said he was not angry at his Mercedes mechanics who caused his retirement from Chinese Grand Prix, although the German could have been fighting for victory, which would have been the first after his return to F1.
The pilot of the Mercedes he was forced to retire on lap 15 after one of his mechanics failed to secure the right front tire during his pit stop.
The German driver had until then been second behind his teammate Nico Rosberg.
The seven-time world champion was quite cautious after retiring, proclaiming that he was happy that his team had managed to find the balance for rear tire wear, particularly on the softs, after struggling in the first two Grands Prix .
“I noticed at turn 3 that something was wrong with my front right tyre, then at turn 6 there was a bit of smoke and some damage so I thought the best decision was to stop to avoid doing any serious damage to the entire car.” the German told the BBC.
“I didn't think of anything bad. I felt a little sorry for one of my boys who I think will feel responsible but in any case it's all part of the game."
“We look strong. We told you that our car wasn't very suitable for Australia and it still wasn't suitable enough in Malaysia, it was still somewhere in between. It seems we have found the right path."
