Sainz Jr. “Happy with what has been achieved”

Excellent third day of testing in Barcelona for the Toro Rosso. The Faenza team first dedicated itself to data acquisition and work on the set-up, before moving on to a race simulation and runs to research performance.

The only flaw was a small electrical failure a few minutes before the checkered flag which left Carlos Sainz Jr. stranded at turn 3, author of 132 laps and sixth place overall.

“It was just the kind of day we needed. Everything went perfectly and so we set off for Melbourne confident - the Spaniard's words - In particular, after the small setbacks in the morning, I was pleased to have managed to cover so many kilometers in the afternoon. Finally, I would like to thank the guys on the team for their great effort over these months and for their help every time I got into the car. In two weeks I will race my first F1 grand prix. I can't wait and I feel very ready."
