Rosberg: “Race pace ok, but I need to improve qualifying”

Despite the excellent race pace displayed during the second free practice session of the Hungarian Grand Prix, the tenth round of the 2015 Formula One World Championship, Nico Rosberg does not believe he has extracted 100% of the potential from his W06 Hybrid. According to the German from Mercedes, in fact, the set-up of the car has some imperfections that did not allow him to get the most out of it during the qualifying flying lap. However, Nico explained that in terms of race pace and management of the harder compounds he feels strong enough to be able to worry Lewis Hamilton.

Here are the words of Nico Rosberg: “The day was absolutely not easy and we have to change something about the set-up. We have contained the problems that emerged during the morning in terms of car balance but I can't extract 100% of the potential from the flying lap and this is not good, also because Lewis seems really fit here in Budapest. I am quite certain that the situation will improve tomorrow."

“As far as race pace is concerned, I'm very close to my teammate and this is absolutely positive. Despite the dirt on the track and the high temperatures, we manage the tires well and for this reason I am quite optimistic. We can play for a great result on Sunday." he concluded.
