Robert Kubica: “Many positive aspects at the start of the season”

Robert, after four races what is your assessment of your start to the season?
Robert Kubica: "I think the first races were very positive for us. If someone had told me at the start of the season that I would score 40 points and finish in the top five three times, I would have been more than happy. However, at At the same time there is a bit of frustration especially for Shanghai, where the safety car prevented me from getting on the podium. But you have to accept the fact that this is part of racing. Sometimes luck is on your side and sometimes It's against you."

The team finds itself chasing Mercedes. Is this a motivation for you?
Robert Kubica: "The whole team is working hard and it's nice to be able to give our all in every race. But it's important to keep our feet on the ground because we still need some big steps forward to be at the front of the pack. grid and constantly fight with Red Bull and McLaren in normal conditions. The next race in Barcelona will be another big test for us, because the return to Europe is usually a turning point in the season with many teams introducing great updates on the cars."

Do you think the team order will change again in Barcelona and that other teams can overtake you?
Robert Kubica: "It is an eventuality that is expected in Barcelona precisely because many teams have high expectations for their new packages. We do not plan to bring everything to Barcelona but we will continue to gradually improve the car, just as we have done during the first 4 races. We have to wait and see how the comparison with the others will be, perhaps the order of the teams will be very different compared to the beginning of the year."

What are your expectations for the weekend?
Robert Kubica: "It's the type of circuit that all the drivers and teams know that there will be a very tough battle. All the teams will be very well prepared and therefore it is important to maximize our performances so that we can fight for the points."
