Toro Rosso scores points in Türkiye with Buemi

Scuderia Toro Rosso leaves Turkey with ninth place and the points scored by Sebastien Buemi. The other driver Jaime Alguersuari was only sixteenth.

“Overall I'm very happy with my race and I don't think I could have done better. However, it is true that in the last two laps I lost two positions and, if it hadn't happened, we would have taken home seventh place. But I couldn't even hold the steering wheel anymore because there was a very strong vibration coming from the tires: it wasn't due to tire wear, so we will have to carefully analyze what happened. It was a great race and I pulled off a lot of overtaking and fought hard. Furthermore, the points achieved are another reason to be satisfied. We decided to make only three pit stops, even though it was clear that it didn't cost much time to make a pit stop here. We are continuing to develop the car and will have new parts arriving, which I hope will allow us to fight for points in the next races. ”

Jaime Alguersuari – Pos 16:
“As usual, I did my best, pushing from the start. But I suffered a lot from the degradation of the rear tyres, particularly in the last stint. This means I had a massive amount of oversteer, which is why I had to come in for an extra stop, the fourth pit stop towards the end. I don't understand why my teammate suffered so much less than me in this regard, so we need to look at all the data to find out why. The next race is in Barcelona, ​​which is obviously very important for me, it's my home race. I have a lot of good memories there, also because I scored points last year.”
