Red Bull, Ricciardo reveals: “Renault will bring an advanced PU to Canada”
In Montreal the Milton Keynes team will be able to benefit from an important update to the transalpine engine
In the Australian Grand Prix, which took place on Sunday at the Albert Park track, the new Renault V6 branded TAG-Heuer officially debuted on Red Bull. Daniel Ricciardo declared that, compared to the Barcelona tests, the transalpine engine has improved, but not by much: “Yes, the engine has more horsepower. But this is still not enough to compete with our rivals. On the straight we weren't able to unleash all the power".
The driver from Perth announced that, starting from the Canadian race (scheduled for June 12th), the Milton Keynes single-seaters will be equipped with an advanced Renault PU: “In Montreal we will be able to count on an important update to our engine. This will allow us to take a significant step forward".
