Red Bull, Kvyat: “Today was the best placing of my F1 career”

A good weekend for Red Bull a Monaco, which with fourth and fifth place, respectively Kvyat need Ricciardo, managed to place both cars in the top five for the first time, bringing home important points from a constructors' point of view and thus getting closer to the Williams, third in the general classification but without any spoils on the streets of Monte Carlo.
To shake up the rankings – and a hand to Red Bull – the safety car took care of it in the final stages of the race, allowing Ricciardo to make a second pit stop and thus fit a new set of supersofts.
The Australian thus managed to gain a position against the Red team Whom, then continuing with an overtaking on his teammate - to whom he then returned the position, in agreement with the team - and almost grabbing the Mercedes di Hamilton, before the checkered flag put an end to the sixth round of the World Championship.

Daniil Kvyat, fourth: “I'm happy with today's race. It's my best placing since I've been in formula 1 and it's also a great result for the team. I made a good start and from then on I was able to control the rest of the race. In the final stages we took a gamble by letting Daniel pass, to try to fight for the podium given that he had the freshest tyre. When we realized that he wasn't going to make it, he gave me the position back on the last lap, as agreed over the radio. We hope to maintain this momentum in the next races too."

Daniel Ricciardo, fifth: “It was a good race today and a good result for the team. In the last laps I also had some fun trying to get closer to Hamilton e Hag, to see if I could fight for the podium. I knew I was in a position to attack in the closing stages, and the idea was exciting. The team worked well, Daniil let me pass and I gave him back fourth place when I saw that I wouldn't be able to catch Lewis. I had a small accident with Whom: It's hard here to make a clean overtaking without touching each other, which is why I'm happy that the stewards didn't take any action in this regard and I think that in the end the fans enjoyed the battle. In the next races we will try to maintain this pace, hoping to remain in the top five."
