Raikkonen certain he can race in Korea

Kimi Raikkonen has said he is certain he can race at the Korean F1 GP. The Finn suffered severe back pain in Singapore and although he admitted that he will have to check his condition in Friday's free practice, Raikkonen assured that he is certain of being able to race on Sunday.

“I wouldn't be here if I wasn't fit to run,” he said. “There would be no point in being here if I didn't think I could run. Obviously we'll see tomorrow. I'm OK at the moment. It's always hard to tell until you drive, but I think it should be fine. After free practice tomorrow, I'll know more. As I said at the last race, this isn't the first time and I'm sure it won't be the last. It's something I've been dealing with for a long time."

Raikkonen doesn't think the problem requires any particular intervention before his return to Ferrari: “I've been OK every year and I've always raced. Sometimes I have to endure the pain. Obviously every year you get older and your body has more problems but I'm sure I can handle these problems."
