The German, never in the race, finished 13th, just outside Rosberg

Mercedes, a race to forget for Schumacher and Rosberg in Korea

A weekend to forget for Mercedes in Korea. Michael Schumacher finished the race in 13th position while his teammate, Nico Rosberg, was forced to retire after an accident at the first corner with Kamui Kobayashi.

“There are some races where nothing goes the way it should and you just have to keep going. This is one of those. We couldn't get the tires to work well over the race distance, which made lap times inconsistent, and led to us falling behind in terms of performance. So we need to put this race behind us, look forward and hope to be able to return to the top positions again in the next races."

“Unfortunately it's the second consecutive disappointing weekend for me, it's very frustrating to be kicked out of the race twice at the first corner,” added Rosberg. “Kobayashi hit me from behind today and my race ended there. On the positive side, our qualifying performance improved slightly. Now we look to the Indian GP and hope to have much better luck there."
