Lotus: Grip problems in free practice for the Japanese Grand Prix

Heikki Kovalainen and Jarno Trulli achieved 19th and 20th place respectively in free practice at the Japanese Grand Prix.

Heikki Kovalainen – Pos 19: “I think we have to be satisfied with today. We did the entire program even though we had some grip problems. The battle with the riders around us is very close and this is good for the team which needs to be very focused.”

Jarno Trulli – Pos 20: “It's always nice to be in Japan. I have some supporters here, and it's nice to be back with Lotus for the first time. We completed a good number of laps today, but I'm not particularly happy with the grip level and balance in both sessions. I think there is still room for improvement in the car and with a bit of work this evening we should be able to find some more performance.”
