Lotus F1 Team: The presentation of the new single-seater on February 5th
Kimi Raikkonen will have his first taste of the new Lotus (formerly Renault) Formula 1 car in Jerez on February 7, two days after the 2012 car was unveiled on the team's new website.
The team has announced that it will unveil the new car, which also marks the 1 world champion's return to Formula 2007 after two years away from the sport, live on its new website – www.lotusf1team.com – at 17.00pm CET Sunday 5 February.
Raikkonen will then drive for the first two days of the first pre-season test in Jerez and will then pass the baton to teammate Romain Grosjean for the remainder of the session.
The Finn, who has been away from the F1 track to focus on the World Rally Championship where he has been competing for the last two seasons, is expected to spend two days driving a 2010-spec Renault in Valencia next week on demo tires Pirelli.
