Liuzzi could try HRT in Barcelona
Vitantonio Liuzzi should try the HRT in Barcelona these days, according to the latest rumors. Although he had a contract for 2011, the Italian driver was dropped by Force India and would not have enough sponsors to fill the starting place in HRT.
But according to several sources, after missing the recent Jerez tests, HRT could return to the track in the Barcelona tests with Liuzzi expected to join the owner Narain Karthikeyan. A spokesperson for the Italian then confirmed a few hours ago that Liuzzi will test with HRT on Saturday.
Liuzzi's test, however, is not necessarily a confirmation of his signing ahead of the start of the season
Daniel Ricciardo, Toro Rosso's new Friday driver, is expected to test the STR6 this week, while Ferrari will use the second example of the F150th Italia.
After the heavy rain of the past few days in Barcelona, sunshine is expected this morning.
