Lauda: “Mercedes will not hide in the Barcelona tests”
“The new Mercedes? The fans will definitely like it."
Niki Lauda has ensured that Mercedes will not hide in the Barcelona tests. Usually in winter tests teams hide their real potential but Lauda reiterated that this year the Silver Arrows will not implement tactics of this type.
“The tests in Barcelona will be useful to discover the new rules during the first four days,” the non-executive president of Mercedes told the Swiss newspaper Blick. “The four days between the two sessions will be used to develop updates. Then, from March 10th to March XNUMXth, we'll get serious. This time no one will hide and hold their cards close to Melbourne. This time we want to know where we are."
Lauda gave some information on the new Mercedes W08: “I saw it when it was at the beginning of assembly. I was delighted from the start. The car is wider and with the bigger tires it looks fantastic. The fans will definitely like it."
