Kobayashi: Great season finale

Kamui Kobayashi judged his first season in Formula One to be positive, finishing in 12th place with 32 points and becoming the best rookie of the year. The Japanese, who contested two races with Toyota at the end of the season, believes that Sauber's season was very positive: eighth place in the championship, ahead of Toro Rosso, despite the problems revealed at the beginning of the year, is an achievement to be proud of.

The car proved to be competitive at the end of the season, the only regret is for a very slow and subdued start to the season.

Kobayashi: “We had a lot of ups and downs but all in all it was a good season. At the beginning we struggled a lot, it was a disastrous period. It was hard and very difficult to get out of it working only in the factory but despite everything at the end of the season we became stronger. The team did a great job to recover and in fact I want to thank them all."

Kamui didn't disfigure himself and in some races, like Suzuka, he put on a great show. For next year his goal is to improve his performance by avoiding repeating some of the mistakes made this year: “My personal goal is to not make mistakes. Then, obviously, I hope to have a good car to be able to regularly fight for points."
