Klien: “The 2010 races are positive for the future”

Christian Klien admits he is confident about returning to the F1 grid next year with the HRT team. Although the Spanish team's decision to replace its drivers has been derided in the paddock this season, Austrian Klien said his call was a good sign for the future.

“In the end they focused more on experienced drivers,” said the Austrian, previously a Jaguar and Red Bull driver, in an interview with APA magazine. “This shows how the team is oriented towards seeking results.”

“For me, I think it's a positive sign that things will be going in the right direction next year,” Klien said.

He admitted that he is confident about his return to the wheel next March:
“These two races at the end of the season are the definitive positive sign. After this race we will have some more meetings” explained Klien.

Asked if he would mind not being chosen by HRT to race in 2011, he admitted: “Yes. You could say that"

“At Virgin there is one seat available and probably two seats in HRT”

Klien admitted that his chances would increase significantly if he found major sponsorship.

“Today if you want to race in private teams, it is almost a necessity to bring money”
