HRT, de la Rosa: “It was stimulating to fight with Marussia and Kovalainen”

The two HRT they finished the grand prix in 21st and 22nd place. However, the Chinese weekend gives the Spanish team hope as the two cars reduced the gap from the pole time by over a second and also kept Kovalainen's Caterham behind. Finally de la Rosa "risked" finishing the race at full speed.

Peter of the Rose – 21st: “I'm happy with the race we did. It's true that the start wasn't great but I was able to maintain a good pace after all, especially with the medium tyres. We had an interesting fight with Kovalainen, which is always very inspiring and also at the beginning we were trailing the Marussias for many laps. However, we are still not able to catch them in the race pace, but we have made good progress and I am very confident that we can overcome them. We will leave China with the knowledge that we are fighting with our rivals. We have improved in every aspect, the pit stops are better and better, our pace is improving and the team is united. It will be difficult to do better in Bahrain because there is not enough time to introduce updates but we can make progress in terms of teamwork and set-up."

Narain karthikeyan – 22nd: “My start was quite bad, so we still have a lot of work to do on the starting system because everything is still new. It was very difficult to drive on the soft tires because we had some problems and the car moved a lot on the straight, we are still looking for the reasons for this problem. However, on medium sized the car had good balance and was easy to drive. We set ourselves the goal of finishing the race in China this weekend and we achieved it so we must be happy. Now we hope to make some more small progress in Bahrain next week."
