The team boss revealed that Vettel and Webber have been ignoring team orders for three races

Horner: “Even Alonso and Hamilton would ignore team orders”

Christian Horner defended Sebastian Vettel, claiming that Mark Webber also ignored team orders and that the champions are unable to "submit".

More than a week after the controversy over the "Multi-21" team order that should have led Mark Webber to victory at Sepang, Red Bull is still managing the controversy that arose from Vettel's forceful overtaking of his teammate team that brought the German to the top step of the podium despite the team order.

Horner told Sky UK: “Multi-21 means car #2 ahead of car #1; Multi-12 means car #1 ahead of car #2. It's not difficult to translate but both of our drivers in the last three races have failed to understand these messages. I think we will abandon this code. We have to try something different, obviously."

Vettel would have apologized not only to Webber but to all 600 Red Bull staff at the factory, but Horner reiterated: “You don't win that much if you're submissive. If Fernando Alonso or Lewis Hamilton had found themselves in that position, they would have done the same,” he explained to Totalrace. “Webber would have done it too. So let's not talk about it as if it were something limited to Sebastian."
