Grosjean: “It's a shame about the accident, we'll make up for it in Canada”

The Frenchman emerged unscathed from the bad accident at the start in Monaco

For the third time in six races Grosjean ends his race immediately after the start and probably has to take measures better than the other riders
Grosjean: “It's a shame about the accident, we'll make up for it in Canada”

Romain Grosjean ended his race in Monte Carlo before reaching the first corner: the Lotus driver triggered an accident that could have had very serious consequences.

“The accident immediately put me out of the game, we had difficulty following the cleanest line and it seemed that Lewis Hamilton in front of me hadn't had the best start”, said the Frenchman, showing the dynamics of his clash. “Fernando Alonso had also come alongside him to attack him, but at that point I was on the outside of the track next to Ferrari and McLaren, and unfortunately Michael Schumacher was on the outside on my left. There wasn't enough space for four cars and there was contact, I turned around in the middle of oncoming traffic and it wasn't a good feeling".

The transalpine threw another race to the wind, following a cliché already seen in the first races of the season. But the reigning GP2 champion isn't too worried: “It's a disappointing end to a week that had shown positive signs, but this is racing and now we can't wait to do it again in Canada”, concluded the second Lotus driver.
