Gascoyne: "Force India will not lack testing like in the Spyker days"

The technical manager of the Force India team, which with the new name has inherited the structure and men from Spyker, will not have to deal with the renunciation of a complete test program as happened last year, and for this reason he also hopes to experience a more rewarding season from a ranking point of view: "Last season, we did little pre-season testing due to budget problems" – Gascoyne declared to formula1.com – "Even if this limitation only partially affected us in terms of the development of the car, for next season we have planned a more extensive test program and this will certainly allow us to prepare better. The tests we carried out in Barcelona were very useful. We had our test drivers and Adrian Sutil, who know our car very well. It was also particularly useful to have feedback from drivers who have gained great experience in other teams, and therefore to be able to have elements comparison. In this way, we were allowed to understand where we are behind and where we are in line with the other teams. For 2008, I believe that we should certainly aim to take a step forward, to be more constant and to qualify better. If we manage to bring ourselves back to half the group, we will be able to try to score points more regularly. This is our objective."
