Formula 1 | The FIA chooses not to apply a heavy hand towards Haas

Despite the double error in the pit stop phase, Haas will not receive any grid penalties for the next Bahrain Grand Prix. At the end of today's race, in fact, the commissioners present in Melbourne chose not to apply any sporting sanctions to the American team, limiting itself to a fine of 10 thousand dollars (5 thousand for Grosjean's unsafe and 5 thousand for Magnussen's. ed.). The FIA justified this move by revealing how the behavior of the pit wall was impeccable, given that the engineers, once they discovered the problem, immediately ordered the drivers to stop.

Magnussen and Grosjean, we remember, were traveling in fourth and fifth position shortly before the stop and they managed to keep Max Verstappen's Red Bull behind without any problems. A real shame for a day that could have remained in the history of Formula 1, but which instead turned out to be a real nightmare for Gene Haas.
