Formula 1 | Stroll excited: “It's fantastic to be back competing in Miami”

Interviewed by the international press, the Canadian did not hide his expectations for the race inside the Miami International Circuit, specifying how the entire Aston Martin wants to return to the podium after the stop in Baku. An important but possible objective thanks to the excellent potential expressed by the AMR23 in this first part of the championship. Stroll, we remember, started from the pit lane last year due to a technical problem with his car, but despite this he managed to climb up to 10th place.

“It's fantastic to be back competing in Miami after such a short time,” said the Canadian. “It's incredible to see how much the popularity of the sport has grown in the United States. I love seeing the stands full of fans and we hope to put on a great show, especially for them."

“Compared to last year I have mixed feelings,” he continued. “In 2022 I had to start from the pits due to a problem that emerged shortly before the start. Despite this, however, I managed to recover up to tenth place. A good result that makes me optimistic for this year. The track is hard, but very fast, which makes it quite an atypical citizen. You have to take risks, but making mistakes can have major consequences. We will push hard to secure important points. We want to end this weekend with the knowledge that we have done everything possible."

“It had been a difficult start with Friday's qualifying in Baku, but then we recovered the rhythm on Sunday, giving Ferrari and Mercedes a hard time,” he continued. “And I think this is excellent, like the points taken home. We are also optimistic for this weekend. Podium? Yes, I want to go as soon as possible, but all I have to do is work and that doesn't change."
