Formula 1 Sainz RB20 – Interviewed by the media in the Sakhir paddock, site of the next Bahrain Grand Prix, Carlos Sainz spoke about the differences between the SF-24 and the RB20, specifying how the Red Bull single-seater will be able to count on a six-month advantage in terms of aerodynamic development.

Despite the good work done by the Red team between September and February, the staff led by Adrian Newey took advantage of last year's excellent base to guarantee a car that was certainly revolutionary, but also capable of guaranteeing an all-round level of performance. A condition that will almost certainly allow Max Verstappen to play the role of favorite to conquer the top step of the podium in Bahrain.

Sainz and the RB20 revolution

“We carefully analyzed the GPS data from the tests and were able to identify the cornering speed and low tire degradation of the RB20. As soon as they put all the pieces together they will certainly be favorites. Ultimately I believe that we are six months or a year ahead of us. Thanks to the winter development we ended up having a car similar to theirs, even if it was the one from last season. It's a widespread opinion within the paddock. The situation is clear for now, but it may not remain so for the rest of the season. We, like many other teams, will be called to race for development. And we are ready for this."
