Formula 1 | Red Bull, Ricciardo optimistic: “We can fight for success”

Despite the four tenths suffered in today's qualifying, Daniel Ricciardo hopes to battle Ferrari for victory in the Bahrain Grand Prix. The Australian, author of the fourth fastest time, relies on his RB14 e on the excellent race pace expressed on Friday. The most "realistic" objective is certainly the podium, also considering the starting positions of Hamilton and Verstappen, mDan doesn't want to preclude a possible trip to the Ferraris by Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel.

Here are the words of Daniel Ricciardo: "I'm quite satisfied with the performance and compared to yesterday afternoon it went significantly better. We are close to the two Ferraris in front, about four tenths, and if we take free practice 2 as a reference, I would say that qualifying didn't go bad at all. We still need a few tenths to battle with the top teams, but in the end we're there and I'd say that for now that's fine. We have an excellent race pace and the car gave me good sensations, which is why we are betting everything on tomorrow afternoon's race. The goal can be the podium, but we also do not preclude ourselves from possible success."
