Formula 1 | Norris, at Le Castellet for redemption: “Three intense races await us”

Lando Norris chasing Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz in the next French Grand Prix, the eighth round of the 2021 Formula 1 world championship. After the placing below expectations achieved in Baku, the Englishman from McLaren will try to repeat himself in the top areas of the classification, so as to give important points to the team for the fight with Ferrari for third place in the constructors' championship.

“In Baku we made a good comeback to gain important points in the constructors' championship,” said the English driver. “At the same time, however, there is a lot we can do to improve performances in view of the triple away match that awaits us between France and Austria. Three consecutive races are intense to face, but everyone is giving their all on the track and in the factory to get the maximum. We need to keep pushing as a team to get the most out of the car. We want to stay in this close battle with our competitors for third place in the constructors' championship."

“Going from two circuits like Monaco and Baku to more traditional layouts like Le Castellet or Spielberg will be exciting,” he continued. “As for Paul Ricard, it will be nice to race on that circuit again. It's a fun track to drive, with several interesting mixes. A good race can come of it."
