We bring you the summary commented by Carlo Vanzini of the last Monaco Grand Prix, the sixth round of this 2019 Formula 1 world championship.

After a breathtaking duel, culminating in a contact on the penultimate lap, Lewis Hamilton managed to defend the leadership of the Grand Prix against Max Verstappen, achieving his fourth success of this exciting 2019 season.

However, it was a different story for the Dutchman, given that the latter, who was the author of a wheel-to-wheel with Valtteri Bottas in the pit lane, suffered a five-second penalty on his total race time, an aspect which made him slip to fourth position .

Second position therefore for Sebastian Vettel, very good at taking advantage of his opponents' false passes and a slow puncture on Bottas' car (fourth.ed.). As for Leclerc, however, the Monegasque thrilled everything in the early stages of the race, completing two masterpiece overtaking moves against Romain Grosjean and Lando Norris, only to then give up everything due to a contact at Rascasse with Nico Hulkenberg.

A finish certainly not up to the expectations that the Monegasque will want to redeem in two weeks in Canada.
