Formula 1 | Ferrari, Leclerc: “Red Bull is a question mark”

Busy day for Charles Leclerc only ninth at the end of free practice Bahrain, not due to a lack of competitiveness of the Ferrari but for not being able to put together a clean lap during the qualifying simulation. In fact, the Monegasque sought the limit on several occasions, a habit to then better prepare for tomorrow's Q3 (unimaginable scenarios permitting, ed.). On long runs it seems that the challenge with Mercedes e McLaren is rather open, while verstappen, although it is still much closer than 2023, it still seems to have a little more to it.

Ferrari, Leclerc: “No negative surprises”

“I would have been surprised if I hadn't been close to the others – Leclerc admitted. I expected to be close there, but the real question mark today is Red Bull: I don't know how much ahead of the others they will be, but it would certainly be a surprise if I didn't have the chance to give the others a fight. There isn't much else to say other than that it is still difficult to define our level of competitiveness. However, it was nice to get in the car and start comparing ourselves with the others and really kick off the season. We still have a lot of work to do, especially in terms of balance. I'm curious to see what position we will find ourselves in tomorrow."
