Formula 1 | Aston Martin limits the damage in Baku and confirms its second place in manufacturers

GP Azerbaijan – Another important weekend forAston Martin, which a Baku managed to gain fourth position in the race with Fernando Alonso and the seventh with Lance Stroll. In total, also considering the Sprint, the Silverstone team took home 22 points, confirming itself as the second force in the constructors' championship and limiting the damage on a track like the Azerbaijani one which on paper would have made the team suffer. AMR23, and indeed between the DRS problems and the not exactly excellent top speed, the Verdona was unable to do better than the Ferrari in the final, but the overall performance still remains more than positive.

“It was another good weekend for the team, and we leave Baku with a total of 22 points – said Mike Krack, Aston Martin team principal. It was a rather demanding event on a decidedly challenging city track. Full credit goes to the drivers, who did an excellent job to recover from their starting positions. They handled the hard tires well, maintaining an excellent pace, bringing the cars home safely. This prepares us best for the next trip to the United States, hoping to better entertain the fans in Miami."
