Formula 1 | Alpha Tauri, data collection on AT01 continues

Data collection work continues at Alpha Tauri. After the excellent work done yesterday, Jody Egginton and Toyoharu Tanabe commented on the performances shown by Pierre Gasly, promoting the behavior of the AT01 with flying colours.

A positive situation, underlined by both technicians, which gives us hope in view of the next official outings with the single-seater that I will take to the track in the next 2020 Formula 1 World Championship.

“Overall, Pierre's first real track day went quite well,” Jody Egginton said. “We carried out a good number of tests, including the collection of aerodynamic data using rakes, checks on the systems and various adjustments on the power unit. Reliability proved to be good and allowed us to cover many kilometers and complete our entire program. We have made a further step forward in understanding this car and will make good use of this data in the coming days, both here in Barcelona and in Faenza and Bicester, where the aerodynamics, design and performance groups are fully focused on preparing the numerous developments." .

Here are Toyoharu Tanabe's ratings: “On this second day of testing we continued the work started yesterday, relating to functionality checks, and also started working on optimizing the PU settings, based on the feedback and data collected yesterday. Pierre completed 147 laps today, the second most in terms of number of laps completed during the day. Overall, it was another good day with lots of data to analyze.”
