Force India, a team member returns to Europe after a bomb in Bahrain

The Bahrain GP weekend has just begun and Formula 1 is already dealing with the difficult situation in the country. A member of the Force India team is returning to Europe after being caught in a firebomb attack in Manama.

The BBC reports that the accident occurred near a Silverstone team car after some team workers were stuck in traffic after leaving the circuit.

No one was injured, but "a member of the team involved in the incident asked to return to the UK" reads the BBC article.

“A spokesperson said the team was not the target of the attack, which took place on the outskirts of Manama.” The news was confirmed by Kevin Eason of The Times and Telegraph correspondent Tom Cary.
