Ferrari, Vettel: “The World Championship? It's not my priority now."

For the German, dreaming costs nothing: "We will take the Mercedes race after race"

Ferrari, Vettel: “The World Championship? It's not my priority now."

Ferrari will be an opponent not to be underestimated. Sebastian Vettel did not mince words in warning Mercedes. The Italian team, which is undoubtedly the one that has made the biggest leap in performance compared to the 2014 Formula 1 season, so much so that the 27-year-old from Heppenheim won in Sepang, in the second race of the season. Yet despite the Prancing Horse's progress, under normal conditions, it seems that Mercedes is still quite ahead compared to the Red, having managed to win 3 races out of 4 Grands Prix.

This is why Sebastian Vettel doesn't like to talk about the World Championship: “I don't want to think about the continuation of the season, my mind is on the month of April. Until now all I can do is to be happy of how things are going, the level of Ferrari this year is incredible and honestly it was a nice surprise to see how strong we actually are. All of this it's very positive – commented the four-time World Champion – Our goal is to go and get Mercedes which continues to be our point of reference. We had an excellent start to the season, we are close but not yet enough, we'll try to get them race after race."

It is the Ferrari driver himself who underlines how the Ferrari still needs a lot of time before it can say it is fighting for the title of the 2015 Formula 1 season: "The World Championship is not the first of my thoughts now, before getting to this point, we still have to work hard. It's only April and we have to keep our feet on the ground, we're not the favourites, we know it. We have already surprised a lot of people, both opponents and fans, we know that we can do well in the future too,” she concluded.
